Fall 09

Hi Folks,
After a rainy, cool summer we are finally back at school. I hope everyone enjoyed the last 2 weeks of sun and heat and had a safe summer. Just to fill you in on some upcoming activities in the next couple months.
I will be starting cross-country running with students from grades 4 to 6 on Thursday, September 17th. Training will take place on days 1, 3, and 5 for any students from these grades who are interested. Students will be training for provincials and hopefully 1 other meet which will take place in October. Students will be required to make a certain number of training sessions in order to participate in these meets.
October will also be the start of after school volleyball which I hope will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:45. This is also open to students from grades 4 to 6 who will be required to bring a note from home to stay for this activity and must be picked up right at 4:45. There will be no volleyball on early dismissal days. My hope is to get in 9 or 10 sessions which would take us to the middle of November. The focus with this activity is skill development for about 45 minutes and games for about 30.
